Electrical Outage and Library Servers
The Libraries servers will be turned off at about 8:30 pm this Friday, December 2, 2005, in preparation for the power outage in Paley Library scheduled by Facilities. Our contingency server will be set-up in Tuttleman provided Network Services can properly get us going.
The servers will be restarted Saturday morning before the Library opens.
An alert will go on the home pages of the Libraries' web site and Diamond catalog this afternoon.

Prep for Electrical Outage
Staff in Paley Library are advised to turn off their assigned computers prior to leaving for the day Friday (December 2, 2005) in preparation for the scheduled electrical outage that evening. If you do not plan to be in on Friday, please turn off your assigned computer before you leave on your last day here before Friday.

WINGSS Flies Faster
You may notice a significant speed increase when you're using WINGSS Self Service Web. That's because thanks to a newly-applied RAM upgrade, the software that runs WINGSS has more breathing room: a full gigabyte, to be exact.
This should make your experience with WINGSS Self Service Web much more pleasant. It certainly has done so for the technician side!
