Committees

Communications: This group will work on all communications to the MAIUG community, including mailings, announcements, and the website. Because there won't be excessive mailings or communications, the primary focus should be on developing the website to complement the IUG and CSDirect sites to provide additional service to our organization. Antoher aspect will be in developing the listserv into a vibrant community of active users.

Program Planning: This working group is responsible for planning the annual conference, coordinating any auxiliary training, creating and updating the list of functional experts. Part of the training will be to organize small regional training sessions. This group will also determine the following year's conference location.

Finance and Membership:  This group is responsible for all fiscal responsibilities of the organization, including: membership dues, conference/pre-conference/auxiliary training registration, and paying for our expenses. The membership aspect is to recruit new member organizations and to provide incentives for retaining current members. This group will also recruit noominations for the elections.

New Initiatives: The current MAIUG Chair is responsible for ensuring that everything is running smoothly and that the group does not become stagnant. Every year the organization should improve over the previous year.  The Chair will also play an integral part in organizing the annual conference. The past MAIUG Chair will contribute ideas and experience to the new initiatives effort.
