Food Is the Top Product Seen Advertised by Children

The Los Angeles Times posted an article detailing the results of a study focused on the impact of television food advertisements and children.

The study, done by Indiana University and the Kaiser Family Foundation, examined over 8,800 television commercials and found that nearly half of the commercials aimed at children 17 and younger were selling candy, snacks, soda, or fast food.

Earlier this week, The Project for Excellence in Journalism released their State of the News Media 2007, an annual report on the status of American Journalism.

The report notes trends and survey findings, and also includes a topography of news wesbites.
