The Living Room Candidate is online archive of presidential campaign commercials from 1952-2004 replete with valuable content-setting commentary.

Created by the American Museum of the Moving Image, the website contains hundreds of memorable and and also not-so-memorable television commercials as well as early, radio-influenced jingles from the 1950s. The site includes a searchable database and features commentary, historical background, election results, and navigation organized by both year and theme.
